Phil Steele Names Utah State’s Savon Scarver As Preseason All-American

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – College Football insider Phil Steele named Utah State wide reciever and returner Savon Scarver as a Preseason All-American.
Scarver was honored in Steele’s annual publication “Phil Steele’s College Football Preview.”
Steele named the senior specialist was named a preseason fourth-team All-American at kickoff returner.
Scarverwas the only Aggie player to receive an All-America honor by Steele.

During his college career, Scarver has been an outstanding special teams player. He’s run back 82 kickoffs for 2,294 yards and six touchdowns.
He’s returned at least one kickoff for a score in each of his four seasons in Logan, including a pair of touchdowns during both his 2018 and 2019 seasons.
At receiver, Scarver has made 49 catches for 715 yards and four touchdowns.
Last season, he had five catches for 48 yards and one touchdown. Utah State finished the 2020 campaign with a 1-5 record.
Scarver and the Aggies will look to rebound when they open their 2021 schedule against the Washington State Cougars on September 4.
