Former, Current Utah Basketball Players Participating In Powder League

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Powder League is filled with former and current Utah Runnin’ Utes basketball players as the league enters its second season.
The Powder League has 12 teams that feature over a dozen former and current Utah basketball players on the rosters.
Here is all of the players that currently or once played for the Runnin’ Utes.
Team Drisdom
This team is filled with former Utes. Their captain is Tim Drisdom, who played for Utah from 2002-06. Shaun Green played for the Runnin’ Utes from 2005-09 out of Olympus High School. Isaiah Wright spent two seasons with Utah from 2014-16 before transferring to San Diego. Tre Smith was on the Runnin’ Utes roster from 2007-09.
Brekkott Chapman played for Utah from 2014-16 before transferring to Weber State. Makol Mawien spent one season with Utah in 2015-16 utilizing his redshirt before transferring. Corbin Green played for Utah in 2011-12 after joining the program from Snow College.
Team Roberts
Former Utah forward and West Jordan star Jordan Loveridge is the only Runnin’ Ute on Team Roberts. He spent four years at Utah from 2012-16 and has been playing professionally overseas since.
Team Clarke
Jaxon Brenchley will be a super sophomore this season for the Runnin’ Utes after playing high school ball at Ridgeline. He is the only Ute on Team Clarke.
Team Arok
Both Gach is back with the Utes after spending last season with Minnesota. Before his time with the Golden Gophers, Gach played two seasons at Utah from 2018-20. Lahat Thioune briefly entered the transfer portal after Larry Krystkowiak was fired but returned after Craig Smith was hired. Thioune will be a super sophomore this season.

Team Dastrup
Chris Seeley spent two seasons from 2016-18 with the Utes before transferring. Sedrick Barefield was a standout guard for the Runnin’ Utes from 2016-19 as a SMU transfer. He is currently playing professionally overseas.
Team Berger
Riley Battin is back with the Utes after a brief stint in the transfer portal when Larry Krystkowiak was fired. Now that Craig Smith is the head coach, Battin is excited for the future of the program. The East High School star Parker Van Dyke played four seasons for the Utes from 2013-19, while serving a two year mission in between. He is known for his buzzer beater at UCLA to complete a 20+ point comeback.

Team Egan
Former Ute Rylan Jones finished his second season with the Utes in 2020-21. After Larry Krystkowiak was fired, he decided to transfer to Utah State.
