BYU unveiled a new locker room that is located at the Student-Athlete Building on the campus.
Accompanied to Jason Derulo’s “Lifestyle,” BYU football’s social media accounts gave a tour of the new digs for the players. A wall of Nike shoes and cleats began the tour, instantly signaling the “lifestyle” for BYU football players is leveling up.
The funding for the locker room renovation was pulled from the SAB maintenance endowment fund established before the facility’s construction, with interest earned on the endowment devoted to the facility’s ongoing maintenance and future improvements.
This is the first renovation to the Student-Athlete Building locker room since the facility was built in 2004. The previous locker room had a lot of tan, looked dated, and didn’t have the wow factor that you’re looking for in a locker room these days.

In big-time college football, locker room renovations are a huge component to attracting future recruits to a program.
No announcements have been made to the locker room enhancements have been announced by BYU in regards to the LaVell Edwards Stadium. The Student-Athlete Building locker room had to take priority as players are in that venue every day, compared to LES, where they have six home games and a handful of scrimmages.
Construction began on the renovation in April and concluded last week.
