PROVO, Utah – BYU football continues to prove that recruiting never sleeps.

The Cougars added a commitment from Snow College offensive lineman Cade Parrish on Friday. Parrish will join the BYU football program for the 2021 season.

After having a free year of eligibility with Snow College this past spring, a season that saw the Badgers play for the JUCO National Championship, Parrish will have four years to play three during his BYU career.

Cade Parrish was once an Arizona commit

Parrish a dozen offers during his recruitment. He was once committed to play for the Arizona Wildcats in the Pac-12 Conference; the school BYU will open the 2021 season against in Las Vegas.

Parrish committed to the Wildcats last summer and was expected to compete in Tucson this past spring. In October, Parrish decommitted from Arizona and opted to play with Snow College during the springtime.

Offensive Line for BYU football in 2021

It worked out for BYU as new offensive line coach Darrell Funk was actively sought to add another player to compete in the trenches this fall.

BYU will have two new starters along their starting front this fall, with both new starters expected to come on the right side of the line.

Parrish was a standout at right tackle for Snow the past two years.

Harris LaChance is the projected starter at right tackle heading into fall camp, with Connor Pay at right guard.

Parrish prepped at Logan High School up in the Cache Valley. When announcing his commitment to BYU, Parrish wrote, “Super excited to be committed to @BYUfootball!! Forever grateful to be playing on a stage where me [sic] whole family gets to be in the audience!!”

Players report to practice for the 2021 season on August 4th, with fall camp practice beginning one day later on August 5th.
