Mitchell And Conley Both In Lineup For Jazz In Game Six

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell will suit up for the Utah Jazz against the Los Angeles Clippers in game six.
Both players were listed as questionable on Thursday before game six, but ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that Conley intended to play, and Mitchell was progressing towards being a game-time decision.
“They won’t be out there if there’s any risk of something more substantial occurring when they’re playing,” Snyder said before tip-0ff.

Conley hasn’t played since game five against the Memphis Grizzlies on June 2. The guard was progressing towards a return in game three but suffered a setback that extended the hamstring injury beyond its original location.
“It was similar, but went down a little bit further,” Conley said of the setback. “It just kind of stretched out a little bit longer range from just the spot that was originally initially sore.”
Mitchell meanwhile has been playing on a sprained ankle which he originally suffered on April 16 against the Indiana Pacers. The guard’s minutes have increased throughout the playoffs, though he appeared to re-injure the ankle in game two against the Clippers when slipping with the ball in his hands.
“Donovan has been playing through pain from the beginning of the playoffs,” Snyder said pregame.
Both players will go through warmups in L.A. before determining their availability for game six. With an offense that has struggled to get into the paint against the smaller Clippers lineup, the Jazz could use the unique skills that Conley and Mitchell bring to the table.

“Those guys are the two guys that, particularly in this series allow us to break the defense down,” Snyder said. “They create offense for other people. ”
