Donovan Mitchell Buries Three Triples Late In Second Quarter
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell tried to spark a late second quarter run by making three 3-pointers on Monday night.
Unfortunately, the Jazz were already buried on the scoreboard as other players on the team were struggling in the first half other than Donovan Mitchell.
It started with a triple by Mitchell with 4:18 left in the second quarter to cut the Clippers lead to 53-29. After a jumper by Marcus Morris and free throws by Bojan Bogdanovic, Mitchell nailed another three-pointer to put the LA lead to 55-34 with 2:28 left in the first half.

Kawhi Leonard answered with a triple of his own before Mitchell made his third one of the night to bring the Jazz to a 58-37 deficit.
Mitchell finished the first half with 21 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field and 4-for-10 from the three-point line. Joe Ingles was the next top scorer with nine points. Mitchell had 21 points and the rest of the Jazz had 23 points in the first half.
For the Clippers, Marcus Morris hit all five of his three-point attempts to finish the first half with 22 points. Kawhi Leonard added 19 points and Paul George poured in 15 points.
