Former Lakers Fan Tony Finau Sits Courtside For Game 2 Of Jazz/Clippers Series

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Los Angeles Lakers fan and PGA Tour golfer Tony Finau sat courtside for Game 2 of the playoff series between the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers.

The Jazz hosted the Clippers at Vivint Arena for Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Thursday, June 10.

During the game, Finau sat courtside and wore a No. 45 Donovan Mitchell Utah Jazz jersey.

Finau, a former Lakers fan, recently changed his NBA allegiance to the Jazz.

In December 2020, ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news that Finau was no longer a fan of the Lakers.

Finau is a close friend of new Jazz owner Ryan Smith.

I am excited to be part of an exciting new era in @utahjazz history,” Finau tweeted of his new fandom. “I know that my brother @RyanQualtrics will do everything he can to bring an NBA Championship to our great state! Smith shared Wojnarowski’s message about Finau’s new fandom and said, “Too good… let’s go.”

Utah’s game against Los Angeles is broadcast on ESPN and 97.5 FM.
