SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – All-Star Donovan Mitchell had another strong start for the Jazz, this time in Game 2 on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.

It was deja vu for the Jazz as they got off to a 10-2 start in Game 1 and that was the case again in Game 2 with Donovan Mitchell scoring 8 of those 10 points.

Joe Ingles started things off with a layup before Kawhi Leonard hit a midrange jumper. After that, Mitchell took over by making a 21-foot pullup jump shot followed by back-to-back three-pointers coming off of Rudy Gobert screens.

Mitchell had 45 points in Game 1, including 32 points in the second half as the Jazz took a 1-0 series lead.

Before Game 2, the Jazz honored Rudy Gobert by presenting him with his third NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

Game 3 between the Jazz and Clippers will be on Saturday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. MT on ABC.
