SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah State and current Packers quarterback Jordan Love said he’s 100 percent ready to be Green Bay’s starter Week 1.
Love made the comments in the midst of Green Bay’s offseason workouts on Wednesday, June 9.
2020 NFL MVP and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has yet to show up and workout with Green Bay this offseason.
“A hundred percent,” Love answered when he was asked if he was prepared to be Packers’ starter to open the regular season. “Obviously, this is a time where I’m getting a lot of extremely valuable reps that I might not have been getting in a normal circumstance. So I’m just going to take it day-by-day.”

“That’s what I’m here for. I was drafted here to play quarterback, so I’ll definitely be ready Week 1.”
The quarterback’s comments came after a practice in which reporters who cover the team said Love was on fire.
What a stretch for Jordan Love:
* Wheel route to AJ Dillon right sideline for 30 yards.
* Free play deep to Lazard for 45.
* Deep corner route to Juwann Winfee for 30.
* Deep sideline to Aaron Jones for 30.
He was so 🔥 that TE coach Justin Outten started fanning him.

“Listen, you can never get too high and never too low in this game,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said of Love after practice. “One of the biggest emphasis for Jordan is just to treat each play as its own entity. We’re always grading the decision-making, the timing, the accuracy, and we want to see the consistency just continue to get better and better.”
