SALT LAKE CITY – Zach Wilson is living up to his high draft status during New York Jets OTAs. OTAs for those not familiar with NFL lingo are “Organized Team Activities.” The former BYU star shined on Tuesday according to the Jets media assembled in Florham Park, New Jersey.
Jets beat writer Andy Vasquez wrote on social media that “Zach Wilson had his best practice yet” and reported that the No. 2 overall pick was 8-for-10 during an “extensive” team portion (11 vs. 11) of practice.
That’s a wrap. Zach Wilson had his best practice yet, (more on that in a moment). The Jets will be back out here Thursday afternoon for their final practice of OTAs. pic.twitter.com/tAnlnoSmQe

Connor Hughes from SNYtv wrote, “This is undeniably Wilson’s best practice of these OTAs (that we’ve seen).”
This is undeniably Wilson’s best practice of these OTAs (that we’ve seen). Doesn’t look good for a rookie. He just looks really good #Jets

Some of the highlights included a pass Wilson made to fellow rookie Elijah Moore. The still photos show impressive ball placement from Wilson. His ability to make all the throws off the platform and still deliver an accurate ball placement was a big reason he had a meteoric rise in the NFL draft.

Wilson also connected with new Jets receiver Keelan Cole on a touch pass that captured a lot of reaction. Cole was with the Jacksonville Jaguars the past four years and is one of many new faces in a revamped receiver room for the Jets.

Another new face Wilson has to throw to with the Jets is former Miami Hurrican Braxton Berrios. Wilson connected with Berrios on a pair of passes over the middle, one resulting in a touchdown.
The New York Jets have one more set of OTAs on June 10-11 before Mandatory Minicamp on June 15-17.
