SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A Utah Jazz super fan had to go to the hospital after breaking his hip but that didn’t stop him from catching his favorite team in the postseason.
KSL SportsBeat anchor Sam Farnsworth shared a thread on Twitter about Nate Carter.
The Jazz super fan has Ataxia (a form of cerebral palsy), who lives in Enoch, Utah, which is just outside of Cedar City. Last week, Carter fell and broke his hip. When the ambulance arrived, Carter made the medics promise to get him to the hospital in time to watch the Jazz game. Carter needed to have surgery on his hip and might have to have a full hip replacement if his hip doesn’t heal correctly.
He had one wish when he was in the hospital and that was to have all of the Jazz players visit him one by one, even though he knew it wasn’t a real possibility. Farnsworth was told that all of Carter’s shirts have Utah Jazz on them. His favorite player is Jordan Clarkson and enjoyed watching the NBA’s Sixth Man drop 24 points in the Game 5 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

An ambulance had to be called to take him to the hospital. But before he let them put him in they had to promise they would get him to the hospital in time to watch the Jazz playoff game! They got him there in time. #TakeNote
