Jazz Guard Donovan Mitchell Beats Shot Clock, Buries Three In Dillon Brooks’ Face

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell beat the 24-second shot clock and knocked down a three-pointer in the face of Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks during Game 5 between Utah and Memphis.
Mitchell and the Jazz hosted Brooks and the Grizzlies at Vivint Arena on Wednesday, June 2.
With 46.2 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Mitchell worked one-on-one against Brooks before rising up to attempt a shot before the shot clock expired.
The fourth-year guard pulled up from 27-feet and buried a triple in Brooks’ face.

Mitchell’s three stretched Utah’s lead to 72-49.
Less than a minute later, the guard connected on another triple to beat the buzzer at the end of the first half.

At halftime, Mitchell and the Jazz owned a 75-51 lead.
Mitchell led Utah with 26 points on 10-13 field goals, including 5-7 from beyond the arc.
He also recorded two rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
Mitchell posted a plus-24 rating during his first 14 minutes of action.
