SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah’s golfing star Tony Finau has been spotted playing a practice round alongside NFL legend Peyton Manning ahead of this week’s Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
The five-time NFL MVP has always had an interest in golf. Most notably, when he starred in The Match playing with Phil Mickelson against Tom Brady and Tiger Woods in 2020.

Manning is playing in the Memorial Tournament Pro-Am and was paired with Finau and two other amateurs. Other notable amateurs in the field for Wednesday’s Pro-Am include Peyton’s brother Eli, NFL Legend and current free agent Larry Fitzgerald Jr, and Golden State Warrior Steph Curry.
The Pro-Am will highlight the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Patient Champion Program.
Memorial Tournament History
Finau’s Memorial Tournament will officially begin on Thursday morning at 5:56 a.m. when he hits his tee shot off the first tee. Then, on Friday he will go off the 10th tee at 10:56 a.m. The first two rounds will be played alongside Matt Kuchar and Jimmy Walker.
The Memorial Tournament has been kind to Finau over the years with his best finish coming a year ago when he ended in 8th. Finau has had multiple top 20 finishes at the Memorial over the years.
Could this be the year that Finau notches his second career PGA Tour victory? History suggests he will likely come close.
