Social Media Explodes During Damian Lillard’s Historic Playoff Performance

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Basketball fans and NBA players erupted on social media during former Weber State and current Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard’s historic playoff performance.
The Denver Nuggets hosted Lillard and the Blazers for Game 5 of their first round postseason series on Tuesday, June 1.
Lillard carried the Portland throughout the contest and forced overtime with a three-pointer during the final seconds of regulation.
Late in the overtime period, the former Wildcat sank another triple to send the game into double overtime.
Ultimately, Portland suffered a 147-140 loss in double overtime. The result gave Denver a 3-2 series lead.
Lillard ended the game with 55 points on 17-24 shooting, including 12-17 from downtown. He also had six rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, and three blocks in 52 minutes on the court.
His 12 three-pointers are a single-game record for an NBA Playoff game.
