Finau chipped in for birdie to begin his second round in perfect fashion.
Then, remarkably Finau birdies the following two holes to fly up the leaderboard. He was three-under-par through three holes.
Finau has played well at the Charles Schwab Classic with a second-place finish in 2019 highlighting his recent finishes. In 2020, he ended in a tie for 23.
Finau is chasing his second career PGA Tour victory. His only win came at the Puerto Rico Open in 2016 but has placed in multiple second-place finishes since. Furthermore, Finau has competed in playoff holes to look for his second win, but nothing yet has fallen his way. Despite the disappointment, Finau’s attitude has always remained positive despite the difficulties that have surrounded his career to date.
