PROVO, Utah – The BYU football seasons to feel real when the TV and kickoff info is released. On Thursday, television networks began releasing their first three weeks of TV coverage for their conference and school partners.

ESPN, the TV rights holder for BYU football games, will be televising the first three matchups on the Cougars 2021 schedule.

Get ready to schedule some afternoon naps this September because BYU will be in action in the late-night TV windows.

The season opener against Arizona in Las Vegas will be televised on ESPN and kickoff at 8:30 p.m. (MT)/7:30 p.m. (PT). BYU and Arizona will square off at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.

In week two, BYU hosts rival Utah for the first meeting between the two schools since 2019. Last year’s contest was canceled due to the Pac-12 going to a conference-only schedule. The in-state battle will kickoff in Provo at 8:15 p.m. and air on ESPN.

Then the following week, on September 18th, BYU hosts Arizona State for the first time since 1998. The old WAC rivals will square off at LaVell Edwards Stadium under the lights at the same 8:15 p.m. (MT) kickoff time on ESPN.

BYU’s senior day against FCS foe Idaho State will kick off at 1 p.m. on November 6th and be televised on BYUtv. The remaining three home games against South Florida (September 25), Boise State (October 9), and Virginia (October 30) will air on an ESPN Network that consists of either ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU.
