Jazz Gaming Begins Fourth Season With THE TIPOFF Tournament

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz Gaming will begin their fourth season in the NBA 2K League with THE TIPOFF Tournament with a big cash prize on the line.
The official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, Jazz Gaming will participate in THE TIPOFF Tournament that will feature all 23 NBA 2K League teams competing for a total prize pool of $160,000.
Beginning May 20, Jazz Gaming will play four consecutive games starting at 4 p.m. MT against Blazer5 Gaming, followed by Mavs Gaming in group play. The quarterfinals will be held on May 21 with the semifinals and finals taking place on May 22.

Jazz Gaming will play their games remotely from the Zions Bank Jazz Gaming Center on the fifth level of Vivint Arena. All games will be live on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels, along with the Jazz Gaming’s Twitch channel.
Jazz Gaming brings back NBA 2K League Coach of the Year Jelani “Comp” Mitchell, along with five of six players that led the squad to a franchise-best 14-2 record and second place finish in 2020.
The six players on the Jazz Gaming roster includes the following:
- 00 – Alex Whelan “Expose” – F – Acquired from Hornets in a trade
- 10 – Brent Aasgaard “Lord Beezus – C/F – Returning from 2020 team
- 11 – Spencer Wyman “Ria” – C – Returning from 2020 team
- 20 – Kimanni Ingram “Splashy” – G – Returning from 2020 team
- 21 – Freddy Whelan “GetOnMyLevel” – G – Drafted 56th overall
- 24 – Shaka Browne “Compete” – G – Returning from 2020 team
After the tournament, Jazz Gaming will enter regular season play on Wednesday, May 26 against Blazer5 Gaming. They will play 14 regular season games in a two-game format.
