David Ochoa Named To USMNT Preliminary Nations League Roster

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake goalkeeper David Ochoa has yet again been named to a national team roster, making him the only RSL player to appear on the CONCACAF Nations League finals provisional roster.
Ochoa is joined by the likes of USMNT royalty in Christian Pulisic, Weston Mckennie, Zack Steffen, Daryl Dike, among others.

The upcoming National League Finals are scheduled to occur in Denver, Colorado on June 3 and 6. While the final 23-player roster will be announced one week before the tournament starts.
The USA will take on Honduras on June 3. If they win they advance to the final where they will play either Mexico or Costa Rica on June 6. A loss against Honduras and they will still play on June 6 in the third-place game.
“The CNL Finals will serve to crown the first-ever champion of a competition created to provide high-quality competitive football for all 41 Concacaf Member Associations and maximize the official match dates available within the FIFA international calendar,” the press release stated.
Then, just days after the Nations league concludes in Denver, Rio Tinto Stadium will host the USMNT and Costa Rica in an international friendly on June 9.
