SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Just four minutes into the game against the Houston Rockets, the Utah Jazz had a double digit lead and made all their threes.

Georges Niang and Joe Ingles combined for three three-pointers as the Jazz went perfect from beyond the arc. Niang hit his first two attempts from downtown and Ingles made one.

Jordan Clarkson later checked into the game and missed the team’s first triple and Royce O’Neale followed. But Utah had a 24-16 lead with 5:08 to play in the opening quarter.

The Rockets have basically shut their best players down for the season as we head down the home stretch of the regular season. Houston is 16-51 on the season and is giving their younger players more experience.

Utah is still without Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley due to injury. Mitchell will be re-evaluated next week as he is dealing with an ankle injury.

The Jazz are wrapping up a five-game homestand. They will hit the road on Monday, May 10 to battle the Golden State Warriors. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. MDT on AT&T SportsNet.
