Former BYU OL Chandon Herring Signs Contract With Tennessee Titans

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – BYU football offensive lineman Chandon Herring has signed a free agent contract with the Tennessee Titans. The move was announced by Herring’s agent at United Athlete Sports Agency.

Herring was once dubbed a “freak athlete” by Bruce Feldman for his combination of size and athleticism from the offensive line position. At 6-foot-6, 307 pounds, Herring ran a 4.94 40-yard dash at BYU’s Pro Day in March. He also had a 4.46 20-yard shuttle.

Herring played in 49 games during his BYU career. He played both offensive tackle and was an interior guard during his time with the Cougars. During BYU’s 2020 season that produced an 11-1 record and protected for No. 2 draft pick Zach Wilson, Herring primarily saw time at right tackle.

Herring signed with BYU in the class of 2014 when Bronco Mendenhall was the head coach. He was a two-star prospect out of Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona.
Herring was part of a BYU offensive line that produced No. 70 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft in Brady Christensen, along with another free agent signing in Tristen Hoge who landed with Wilson’s New York Jets.
