Former BYU LB Isaiah Kaufusi Signs Free Agent Deal With Indianapolis Colts

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Brighton High and BYU linebacker Isaiah Kaufusi signed a free agent deal with the Indianapolis Colts after going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Kaufusi joined the Colts shortly after the conclusion of the NFL Draft on Saturday, May 1.

About Isaiah Kaufusi
Prior to his college career, Kaufusi was a standout player for the Brighton Bengals.
After high school football, the linebacker played at BYU from 2016-20.

Kaufusi recorded 11 total tackles and six solo tackles in 11 games as a freshman.
In his sophomore season, the linebacker had 50 total tackles, 30 solo tackles, four pass breakups, one sack, one forced fumble, and two interceptions in 11 contests.
As a junior, Kaufusi posted 60 total tackles, 41 solo tackles, five pass breakups, and two interceptions in 13 games.
Kaufusi’s senior season was his most productive statistically. In 2020, he had 83 total tackles, 46 solo tackles, one pass breakup, four sacks, three forced fumbles, one interception, and one touchdown.

He helped the Cougars to an 11-1 record in his final college season.
