Jacksonville Jaguars Select Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence With No. 1 Overall Pick In 2021 NFL Draft

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Jacksonville Jaguars selected former Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick during the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
The first round of the NFL Draft took place in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday, April 29.
Lawrence will play under former Utah and current Jacksonville head coach Urban Meyer.
It’s the fourth consecutive NFL Draft in which a quarterback was taken with the top pick.

Trevor Lawrence at Clemson
Since his freshman year with the Tigers, Lawrence has been projected a top pick in the NFL Draft.
After jumping into the starting lineup midway through his first season, Lawrence led Clemson to a national title.
He continued his stellar play during his sophomore and junior seasons and helped the Tigers reach the College Football Player in each of this three seasons.

Lawrence finished his college career passing for 10,098 yards, 90 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions with a 66.6 percent completion rate.
