He has tremendous energy and character that will make an immediate impact on our basketball program.”
Morris has ties to the west coast and the Pac-12. He played college basketball at Stanford. After a professional career overseas, he started his coaching career at Alabama as a graduate assistant from 2010-11. Then he went to Kennesaw State as an assistant for one season. Morris went back to Alabama as a graduate assistant for two seasons from 2012-15. He then went to Nevada to be the Director of Player Development for the 2015-16 season.
Morris was on the Cincinnati staff when transfer guard Gabe Madsen was a member of the Bearcats program.
Morris landed a job at Northern Kentucky for three seasons as an assistant coach. Then he went to Cincinnati for two seasons under Brannen.
