Rudy Gobert Swats Dunk Attempt By Lakers’ Montrezl Harrell

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert viscously blocked a dunk attempt by Los Angeles Lakers big man Montrezl Harrell on Monday night.
Early in the second quarter, Montrezl Harrell had the ball in the paint and was being aggressive when he was going up for the dunk when Rudy Gobert showed his strength by blocking it.
The block happened with 9:31 left in the second quarter and the Jazz had a 34-28 lead.

Gobert’s block was so powerful that he fell on the ground as Jordan Clarkson collected the rebound and the Jazz went the other way. Midway through the second quarter, Gobert had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and one block on 2-of-3 shooting from the field. The Jazz big man did not play in Utah’s first matchup against the Lakers on Saturday afternoon. Gobert, as well as Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell and Derrick Favors did not play in Saturday’s game.
Ersan Ilyasova and Donovan Mitchell were not available for the Jazz on Monday night for the rematch.
The Jazz will wrap up a three-game road trip against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, April 21 at 6 p.m. MDT. Then they will have one quick game at home before going on the road for three straight.
