Social Media Reacts To Dwyane Wade Joining Utah Jazz Ownership Group
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Chris Paul, Magic Johnson, Gabrielle Union, Ryan Smith, and others shared their thoughts and excitement after the NBA legend Dwyane Wade became a part owner of the Utah Jazz.
Wade joined Smith and the ownership group of the Jazz on Friday, April 16.
After the news broke, the three-time NBA champion, his wife, and others shared their feelings about the move on social media.

“Legend, Leader, Businessman. Welcome to the Utah Jazz family,” the Jazz posted on the team’s official Twitter account.
The franchise also shared a photo of Wade standing next to Jazz owner Ryan Smith inside the organization’s practice facility.
Smith thanked Wade for joining the Jazz.
“.@DwyaneWade thanks for choosing Utah … just the beginning,” Smith tweeted.
Jazz guard Mike Conley posted a photo with Wade and said, “My guy! Welcome to Utah!”
Actress Gabrielle Union, who is married to Wade, shared her excitement on the ownership move.
Miami Heat owner Micky Arison expressed disappointment that Wade did not join his team’s ownership group. Wade played the majority of his hall of fame career with the Heat.
“I want to congratulate Dwyane on his recent announcement,” Arison tweeted. “We had discussed having him join our ownership group after his retirement but he was not prepared to commmit at the time. Of course I am disappointed that he didn’t reconsider.”
“Having said that I wish him good luck and much success with the Jazz. To me Dwyane will always be a HEAT lifer,” Arison continued.
Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul, who is a friend of Wade, congratulated the former NBA great and said that Jazz were smart to bring him onboard.
“Congrats to my bro @DwyaneWade !! The Jazz was smart as hell to bring him in…knows everything there is to know about this league and leading a TEAM!” Paul posted on Twitter.
Los Angeles Lakers legend and former NBA executive Magic Johnson congratulated Wade for joining the Jazz.
“I want to congratulate @DwyaneWade for becoming an owner of the NBA’s Utah Jazz! D Wade is really building a business empire and I’m so proud of him!!” Johnson tweeted.
ESPN host Michael Wilbon applauded Wade and the Utah Jazz during a portion of “Pardon The Interruption.”
Utahn and PGA Tour golfer Tony Finau told Wade he loved the move.
“Go Jazz! Love this @DwyaneWade,” Finau tweeted.
