PROVO, Utah – Former BYU football wide receiver Dax Milne is an intriguing prospect in the 2021 NFL draft process. After a junior season where he racked up 1,188 yards on 70 receptions, Milne declared early for the pros. Now he’s looking to hear his name called in one of the seven rounds later this month.

Milne recently caught up with NFL Network’s Bucky Brooks on the “Move The Sticks” podcast to discuss how the toughest job interview is going for him while also discussing Zach Wilson. Brooks asked Milne if there was a throw from his former teammate that was a favorite to see or catch during their time at BYU.

Milne immediately had one come to mind from the impressive 11-1 season BYU put together last fall.

“He rolled out right; I was on a go route on their sideline. And he rolled out the opposite of me, and I thought he was counting me out,” said Milne. “But I stayed running on the opposite sideline, and all of a sudden, he turned, and I see the ball go up in the air. And I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, that is the farthest throw I’ve ever seen.’ The ball stayed in the air forever, and it finally came down to me, and I scored.”

The throw took place against Texas State back on October 24th. Everyone in the stadium that night, including the working media, was floored at that throw, as was Milne, who hauled in the grab to account for one of his eight touchdown grabs in 2020.

That pass from Wilson to Milne ended up No. 2 on our list of top moments from Zach Wilson during the 2020 BYU football season.

Dax Milne and Zach Wilson grew up as childhood friends, they continued the friendship at BYU. The two were roommates together at Wilson’s house off campus.

The 2021 NFL Draft takes place on April 29th and runs through May 1st.
