SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Will Zalatoris debuted at The Masters last week, but you would never have known after he finished in second place and just one shot behind eventual champion Hideki Matsuyama.
Zalatoris, 24, will no longer live a private life. Rather, he will likely be recognized anywhere he goes, a second-place finish at The Masters is nothing to joke about.
However, since Zalatoris breached fame, many online have compared him to Happy Gilmore’s caddy from the blockbuster film Happy Gilmore starring Adam Sandler.
Have fun today young man. Mr. Gilmore is watching you and very proud. pic.twitter.com/iwOEuMdR8W

In fact, he has embraced the comparisons so much so that he engraved “Mr. Gilmore I’m your caddy” onto his 60-degree wedge.

Zalatoris made over $1 million as a result of his second-place finish at Augusta National. Despite not having his PGA Tour Card and not being eligible to compete in the FedEx Cup.
In March 2019 Zalatoris was ranked 1504 in the World Golf Rankings, now he is ranked 27th. Zalatoris is an example of how continued perseverance and determination can forever change his future. His rise to stardom only motivates the younger generation to never give up on their goals.
