Report: Utah Valley G Jamison Overton Transferring To Weber State

OGDEN, Utah – Utah Valley guard Jamison Overton will reportedly transfer as a graduate from the Wolverines to the Weber State basketball program.
Before his time at Utah Valley and Weber State, Jamison Overton “also known as J.J.” spent two seasons at Saddleback College at the JUCO level where we was a two-time First Team All-Orange Empire Conference selection. After a successful two seasons at Utah Valley, Overton will now go to Weber State as a graduate transfer.
Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported the move by Overton.

While at Utah Valley, Overton played in 29 games with one start as a junior during the 2019-20 season. He averaged 7.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, while shooting 47 percent from the field. This past season, Overton played 19 games and started every contest, posting averages of 15.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He was tied for the highest scoring average on the team this past season.
The Wolverines went 11-11 overall and 9-4 in WAC play, winning a share of the regular season title this year. They lost to New Mexico State in the semifinals of the conference tournament.
Utah Valley played the Wildcats in Ogden on January 2, 2021 with Weber State picking up a 70-62 win. Overton led UVU with 19 points in 37 minutes on the floor.
Weber State had a 17-6 overall record and 12-3 in Big Sky play. They lost to Montana in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.
