Poor Form Entering
Finau enters his fourth Masters tournament this week. A tournament that has brought the Salt Lake City native a great amount of success in the past. He debuted at Augusta in 2018 when he finished in a tie for 10th. A year later, days after dislocating his ankle during the Wednesday par 3 tournament he finished in a tie for 5th and played in the final group on Sunday alongside Francesco Molinari and eventual champion Tiger Woods.
Last year, after the tournament was postponed until November, Finau finished in a tie for 38th. It was his worst finish at Augusta since he debuted in 2018.

Unfortunately, Finau enters the 2021 Masters tournament in poor form. He has missed his previous two cuts, he had not missed a cut since August prior to missing the cut at The Players Championship a month ago.
However, the start of the 2021 PGA Tour season saw Finau playing the best golf of his career. He secured more Official World Golf Ranking points than anybody else in the field and finished in second place in back-to-back tournaments.
Finau continues to search for his second PGA Tour victory. His lone Tour win came in 2016 at the Puerto Rico Open. Since then, he has contended in numerous tournaments, including multiple playoff appearances. Luck and fortune have not been on Finau’s side.
