SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Orlando Magic will have only the league minimum eight players available tonight when they face the Utah Jazz.

Orlando traveled to Utah in one of the stranger back-to-back sets of games in the NBA this season after playing in New Orleans last night. The Magic beat the Pelicans 115-110 and now face the Jazz, winners of a franchise-record 21 straight home games and the best record in the NBA with more players on the injury list than players available.

Here is a list of players set to miss the game courtesy of basketball-reference.com, including Khem Birch and Michael Carter-Williams who have been downgraded to out as they deal with flu-like symptoms.

Cole Anthony Orlando Magic OUT (Rib)
Khem Birch Orlando Magic Day To Day (Illness) – The Magic have listed Birch as OUT
Michael Carter-Williams Orlando Magic Day To Day (Illness) – The Magic have listed Carter-Williams as OUT
Markelle Fultz Orlando Magic OUT For Season (Knee)
Gary Harris Orlando Magic OUT (Thigh)
Jonathan Isaac Orlando Magic OUT For Season (Knee)
Karim Mané Orlando Magic Day To Day (Hamstring) – The Magic have listed Mane as OUT
Otto Porter Orlando Magic Day To Day (Foot) – Porter Jr. is OUT
Terrence Ross Orlando Magic Day To Day (Ankle) – The Magic have listed Ross as QUESTIONABLE

The Magic will start Chasson Randle, Dwayne Bacon, James Ennis, Chuma Okeke, and Wendell Carter Jr. against the Jazz with Terrance Ross, Mo Bamba, and RJ Hampton available off the bench.

“This will be a test, obviously,” Magic coach Steve Clifford said about the meeting with the Jazz. “Eight guys and they’re playing an incredibly high level. So this will be, again, a great challenge.”

The Jazz meanwhile will be without Mike Conley who continues to rest on either side of back-to-back games as he rehabs his right hamstring injury suffered earlier in the season.

Elijah Huges (non-COVID illness), Juwan Morgan (left calf), and Udoka Azubuike (severe ankle sprain) will miss also miss the game for the Jazz.
