SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The NBA has announced the dates for this summer’s draft season. The league’s annual combine will be held June 21-27, with the draft lottery being held on June 22.
The draft itself will be held on July 29, just one week after the NBA Finals are set to conclude.
Health permitting, the league will be able to return to a more traditional pre-draft model for workouts, including at the combine after last season’s draft preparation that was mostly held without private, in-person workouts.
The NBA Draft will be held on July 29th at 8pm ET. The NBA Draft Combine will take place June 21-27, and will feature competitive five on five action "subject to public health conditions." The NBA draft lottery will be June 22 at 830pm ET. https://t.co/oZVnah3ft6

With the NCAA Tournament underway, college players will have nearly two months after the season wraps to decide on their basketball futures.
“The deadline for an early entry player to apply for this year’s NBA Draft is Sunday, May 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET,” according to the league’s release. “The deadline for an early entry player to withdraw from the NBA Draft is Monday, July 19 at 5 p.m. ET.”
The Utah Jazz own their first round pick in the draft as long as it doesn’t fall between the 8-14 pick in the first round. The selection will be sent to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the Mike Conley trade if the Jazz drop into the second half of the lottery.
The team’s second round pick is owed to the Indiana Pacers after the Jazz acquired the draft rights to Jarrell Brantley in 2019.
