Jazz Win 19th Straight Home Game With Blowout Over Grizzlies

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz won their 19th straight home game with a 126-110 blowout victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 35 points, including 28 first half points. He shot 12-of-17 from the floor and 5-for-7 from the three-point line, while also dishing out seven assists. Jordan Clarkson added 28 points off the bench. Rudy Gobert had another double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Kyle Anderson scored 16 points to lead the Grizzlies. Ja Morant was held to just 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting from the floor.
It’s the second longest home winning streak in franchise history and the Jazz won their fifth straight game on Saturday night.

The deep bench played the final six minutes of the fourth quarter, and the Jazz sweep the two-game series with Memphis.

Mitchell, Clarkson Carry Jazz To Big Halftime Lead
Donovan Mitchell exploded for a career-high 28 points in the first half. The Jazz had a 70-53 lead over the Memphis Grizzlies at the break.
Mitchell was on fire to start the game as he scored 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field and 2-for-3 from the three-point line. He then went off for 12 points on 5-of-6 again from the floor and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc.
The all-star guard started at point guard as Mike Conley missed the game for injury management reasons as this was the second game of a back-to-back. Mitchell had 5 assists to go with his 28 points, while shooting 10-of-12 from the field and 4-for-6 from the perimeter.
Jordan Clarkson was also red-hot in the first half, scoring seven points in the first quarter after knocking down a three-pointer. The NBA Sixth Man of the Year candidate had a big second quarter with 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor and 3-for-4 from downtown. Clarkson and Mitchell combined for 48 points in the first half.

Utah Cruises In Second Half To Complete Two-Game Sweep Over Grizzlies
After outscoring the Grizzlies 39-19 in the first quarter, the Jazz were even with them in the second and third quarters. Memphis outscored the Jazz 34-31 in the second quarter before Utah dropped 30 points in the third quarter and held Memphis to 29.
Early in the fourth quarter, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins was assessed a technical foul. The Jazz started pouring it on from that point as Georges Niang hit a three-pointer.
Utah outscored the Grizzlies 20-12 midway through the fourth quarter to give them a 120-94 to basically seal the win.
The Jazz improved their record to 34-11. They will finish their four-game homestand on Monday, March 29 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. MT and will be televised on AT&T SportsNet.
