Donovan Mitchell Sparks Big First Half Performance For Jazz
The Jazz started the game strong with an 11-0 run. Whenever they have gone on a 10-0 run (or more) they were 24-0. Make that 25-0. The run started with Mike Conley hit a floater in the lane to tie the game at nine with 8:40 left in the first quarter. Then Rudy Gobert made a layup off of a dish by Donovan Mitchell, forcing the Grizzlies to call a timeout. Bojan Bogdanovic hit a jumpshot, followed up by a triple from Mike Conley and Memphis needed another timeout.
Utah doubled up the Grizzlies, 18-9 with 6:46 remaining in the opening quarter. They outscored the Grizzlies 38-24 in the first quarter and 28-26 in the second.
Mitchell had 7 points in the first quarter and turned it up a notch in the second with 12 points, including 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.
Not the best close to the half for the @utahjazz, but they lead the @memgrizz 66-50 at the half.

Rudy Gobert Caps Utah’s Fourth Straight Win With Impressive Second Half

After jumping out to a double digit lead early in the fourth quarter, the Grizzlies made a run back and pulled within six points with under two minutes left. Donovan Mitchell hit a big three-pointer to extend the lead to nine. Ja Morant converted on an and-one to get to within six again.
Mitchell put the Jazz up by eight with a midrange jumper. Memphis made five straight points to get to within three after Dillon Brooks drileld a three-pointer. The Grizzlies were able to get the ball back with a chance to tie the game with 13.3 seconds left. Brooks missed the three-pointer. Conley got the rebound and he and Ja Morant tied up for a jump ball with 1.9 seconds left. Conley won the tip and the game ended.
