SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Minutes before quarterback Zach Wilson threw during BYU’s Pro Day, a pair of blockbuster trades took place involving top pick’s in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The first deal of the day took place between the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins.

San Francisco moved into the top three with the trade.

“Filed to ESPN: Dolphins trading No. 3 overall pick to the San Francisco 49ers for the No. 12 pick, a 2021 third-round pick (SF’s comp pick for Robert Saleh hiring) and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023, per sources,” Schefter tweeted. “Blockbuster deal with massive ramifications for years to come.”

Shortly after the Dolphins moved back and the Niners moved up, Miami made another deal.

The Dolphins’ second deal of the day was with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Miami moved back into the top ten with the trade.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Eagles, “tried to trade up to No. 3, but they would only do it for Zach Wilson.”
