PROVO, Utah – We now have official measurements for BYU quarterback Zach Wilson. The former BYU signal-caller was listed during his collegiate career at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds. How did the NFL size up the heralded NFL Draft prospect?
Zach Wilson: Height, Weight, Hand Size
Wilson checked in at BYU’s Pro Day at 6021, 214 pounds, with a 9-1/2 inch hand size.

The 6021 height listing that the NFL uses equates to 6-foot-2, 1/10th of an inch.
Those are all solid measurables and shouldn’t do anything to impact his draft stock. Wilson is viewed as a lock to be a top-five pick and is a likely destination for either the New York Jets at No. 2 or the San Francisco 49ers at No. 3 in the NFL Draft order.
The 49ers moved up from No. 12 to No. 3 in the Draft order after making a trade with the Miami Dolphins. 49ers GM John Lynch was a late addition to visit BYU’s Pro Day in Provo.
Wilson didn’t run drills at BYU’s Pro Day. He only went through passing drills with his former BYU teammates. To get an idea of what QBs at Wilson’s height, weight, and hand size typically run in the Combine drills.
What might we see out of #BYU QB Zach Wilson’s drills?
Since 2000 at the Combine, QBs at that height & within 5 lbs average:
4.83 40-yd dash
31.3 vert
110.8 Broad
7.12 three-cone
4.29 shuttle— Mike Tannenbaum (@RealTannenbaum) March 26, 2021
The 2021 NFL Draft takes place on April 29th and goes to May 1st in Cleveland, Ohio.
