Jazz Defense Limits Star-Less Nets To 38 Points In First Half

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz played stifling defense and held a limit Brooklyn Nets roster to only 38 points in the first half.

The Jazz hosted the Nets at Vivint Arena on Wednesday, March 24.

During the first 24 minutes of game time, Utah outscored Brooklyn by 25 points and took a 63-38 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Nets played without the services of their stars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden.

Brooklyn shot 30.8 percent overall and 16.7 percent from beyond the arc during the opening two quarters.

Chris Chiozza and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot led the Nets with seven points apiece.

Utah had five steals and two blocks in the first half.

In contrast, the Jazz shot 47.8 percent overall and 42.3 percent on three-pointers.

Donovan Mitchell led Utah with 20 points on 8-12 field goals.

Mike Conley was the Jazz’s second-leading scorer with 12 points.
