Report: Former BYU Safety Daniel Sorensen Re-Signing With Kansas City Chiefs

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU safety and current Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen plans to re-sign with Kansas City, according to multiple reports.
Herbie Teope of the KC Star first reported Sorensen’s new deal on March 22.
The former BYU standout has played his entire with Kansas City.
He will reportedly stay with the Chiefs on a one-year deal with nearly $2.5 million.

About Daniel Sorensen
After playing from BYU from 2008, 2011-13, Sorensen signed with Kansas City after going undrafted in 2014.
He’s played for the Chiefs since the start of his rookie season.
The pinnacle of Sorensen’s career came when he helped Kansas City win Super Bowl LIV.
Last season, Sorensen recorded 91 total tackles, 68 solo tackles, two force fumbles, three interceptions, five pass breakups, and one touchdown in 15 games.
