Real Salt Lake Announce Home Preseason Game For Season Ticket Holders

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake announced a preseason game at Rio Tinto Stadium in which season ticket holders will be able to attend. The match against Sacramento Republic FC will take place on Saturday, March 27 with kickoff expected for 10 a.m.
Republic FC is currently led by former Real Monarchs Head Coach Mark Briggs who earned 2017 USL Championship Coach of the Year honors for leading the Monarchs to the 2017 USL Regular Season title. Additionally, Matt Glaeser, a Real Monarchs assistant coach during the 2019 USL Championship Title run, recently joined Briggs’ staff.

The fixture adds to the already three practice matches scheduled for when the team travels to Tuscon, Arizona on March 31st. While in Arizona, RSL will play Colorado on April 3, USL side Phoenix Rising FC on April 7th, before their final preseason hitout against LA Galaxy on April 10th.
Matches against Colorado and LA Galaxy will be available for stream via the KSL 5 TV app and on KSLSports.com.
RSL started training camp on March 8 in Herriman in preparation for the start of the 2021 Major League Soccer season, scheduled to kick off for Salt Lake on April 24 on the road against Minnesota United FC.
