SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has partnered with Utah high school soccer teams to help further promote the importance of unity and inclusion within the community.
“In Tandem with the high school coaches and players, RSL Community created a warm-up top with the wordage “One Kind, Humankind” on the front and the RSL Way Logo and “Eliminate Hate” on the back,” the club announced via a press release.

Earlier this year, East High School Head Coach Rudy Schenk and several East players approached RSL with the idea for the creation of the warm-up tops. The initiative has quickly expanded and will not be offered to all coaches and varsity soccer players in the 6A, 5A, and Region 9 4A schools.
The participant schools will wear these tops before each match beginning Tuesday, March 23 when East High School hosts Cottonwood High School at 3:30 p.m.
Captains from all participating schools were welcomed to Rio Tinto Stadium where they received their shirts and heard from RSL Assistant General Manager and former player Tony Beltran on the importance of speaking out against racism. Beltran also spoke on The RSL Way, a recently published article dissecting the clubs core values.
