Utah State’s Neemias Queta Blocks Six Shots During First Half Against Red Raiders

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah State center Neemias Queta recorded six massive blocks during the first half of the Aggies’ NCAA Tournament game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
The No.11 seed Aggies and No. 6 Red Raiders played during the Round of 64 at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana on Friday, March 19.
During the opening 20 minutes of action, Queta swatted six field goal attempts by Texas Tech.
Queta’s incredible defense helped the Aggies bounce back from a seven-point deficit midway through the half.

Despite 13 turnovers, Utah State owned a three-point lead at halftime, 26-23.
Queta posted four points, three assists, and six blocks during his time on the court. He was 2-3 on field goals.

Justin Bean led the Aggies with 10 points and eight rebounds.
USU shot 47.8 percent overall and only 1-8 for 12.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Texas Tech finished the half shooting 28.1 percent from the field, including 37.5 percent from three.
The Red Raiders were led by Mac McClung’s nine points.
