It’s a huge accomplishment for the NCAA to have fans in attendance amidst a global pandemic for their biggest annual event. The NCAA released the official capacity for each of the six different venues located here in the state of Indiana.
2021 NCAA Tournament Official Attendance Capacity Limits
Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall (Bloomington): 500 (3% capacity)
Historic Assembly Hall will primarily be reserved for the immediate families of players and staff and vaccinated medical personnel and first responders from the local community. Utah State will play here against No. 6 seed Texas Tech.

The home of the Purdue Boilermakers. Close to 10 percent of capacity will be allowed to attend.
Farmers Insurance Coliseum: 1,200 (18%)
The Coliseum is on the fairgrounds here in Indianapolis. Atop the sign of the arena is a picture of Garfield, apparently a gym sponsor.
Hinkle Fieldhouse: 1,250 (14%)
Butler’s home arena and a key piece to the movie, “Hoosiers.” Hinkle Fieldhouse has a rich tradition. It will be the host to BYU’s first-round game on Saturday night.
Bankers Life Fieldhouse: 2,500 to 3,800 (13-19%)
The home to the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. Bankers Life Fieldhouse will have a capacity that changes based on how quickly the arena can be sanitized between games.
