Former Utah State Linebacker Nick Vigil Signs With Minnesota Vikings

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah State Aggies linebacker Nick Vigil signed a free agent deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings officially agreed to a contract with Vigil on March 17.

Minnesota signed the former USU standout to a one-year contract worth up to $2.3 million.
Source says LB Nick Vigil will sign a one-year deal with the #Vikings worth $1.75 million base, with $1.35 million guaranteed. Incentives could make it worth as much as $2.3 million.

According to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Vigil’s deal includes $1.35 million in guaranteed money.

Nick Vigil in 2020
Last season, Vigil played for the Los Angeles Chargers.
In 15 games, the linebacker recorded 50 total tackles, 29 solo tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, two forced fumbles, and one pass breakup.
He joined Los Angeles in 2020 after playing the first four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Vigil was originally selected by the Bengals during the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
During his five-year career, Vigil has posted 345 total tackles, 211 solo tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and 15 pass breakups.
