SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – BYU football’s all-time leading rusher Jamaal Williams is going to have a new home in the NFL for the 2021 season. After the Green Bay Packers re-signed his former Packer teammate Aaron Jones to a four-year $48 million contract, it leaves the “Swagdaddy” looking for a new home.
On Monday morning, the NFL free agency negotiation period began. This allows free agents 48 hours to talk with teams and get a plan in place for when NFL free agency officially begins on Wednesday, March 17 at 2 p.m. (MT).

“I just want a team where everybody’s professional-minded,” said Williams on NFL Network. “Everybody know what we gotta do to win a Super Bowl. Go get a ring. Just be professional about it and have fun and do it together. And know that this is really whole team effort. When having me on the team, I’m all about the team. And I let my teammates know, we gotta have each other’s backs when we go into war. Because we the only ones out there, you know what I mean? As long as everybody’s sacrificing and doing the right things and we doing it as a team, good things happen. That’s what I’m looking for.”
Some potential landing spots for Williams include the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, and the New York Jets.
