BYU Falls To No. 1 Gonzaga In WCC Tournament Final

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The BYU men’s basketball team fell to the top ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs in a close West Coast Conference final.
The No. 2 seed Cougars and No. 1 Bulldogs played in the WCC final at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Tuesday, March 9.
After leading for much of the game, BYU lost to Gonzaga, 88-78
It was BYU’s third loss to the Bulldogs in the 2020-21 season.

With the defeat, the Cougars moved to an overall record of 20-6 on the season and 11-4 in WCC games.

BYU’s next game will likely take place in the NCAA tourney.
The Cougars will look to find out their tourney opponent during Selection Sunday on March 14 at 4 p.m. (MDT) on CBS.
