Second Half By Queta, Bean Helps Utah State Beat Wyoming On Senior Night

LOGAN, Utah – Neemias Queta and Justin Bean recorded dominant second half performances to help Utah State beat the Wyoming Cowboys.
The Aggies hosted the Cowboys on Thursday, March 4.
Queta and Bean combined for 20 second half points in Utah State’s 72-59 win over Wyoming.
As a team, the Aggies outscored the Cowboys by 10 points over the final 20 minutes of game time.
“I thought we really did a good job staying connected,” Utah State head coach Craig Smith said after the win. “Our guys were super positive and just saying, ‘We got this. We got this. We’ll figure it out.”

Bean led USU with a game-high 21 points on 10-20 field goals. He added 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Before fouling out in the final minutes, Queta posted a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Queta also had two assists, one steal, and five massive blocks.

Utah State finished the contest shooting 45.5 percent from the field, including 30.0 percent on three-points.
Steven Ashworth scored 13 points to led the Aggies’ bench.

USU limited the Cowboys to 37.5 percent overall and 29.0 percent from distance.
With the win, the Aggies improved to 17-7 on the season and 14-4 in Mountain West Conference games.
Utah State’s next game is against the Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday, March 6 at 9 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on FS1.
