Jazz Guard Donovan Mitchell Powers Through Sixer Defenders For Tough Layup

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell scored a tough layup after battling through a pair of 76ers during the opening minutes of Utah’s game against Philadelphia.
The Sixers hosted the Jazz at Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday, March 3.
With 8:59 remaining in the first quarter, Mitchell came down with a rebound and drove the length of the court on a one-man fast break.
The fourth-year guard powered into the paint and up through a couple of defenders for a layup.

Mitchell’s basket was part of an 8-0 run by the Jazzman.
After the stretch, Mitchell had eight points on three field goals. Mitchell’s other buckets were three-pointers.

He also had three early rebounds.
Following the first 12 minutes of game time, the Jazz led 34-26.
Mitchell ended the first quarter with 10 points, three rebounds, and one assist.

The assists was another highlight of Mitchell’s opening minutes of action. The pass was a no-look dish to Derrick Favors.

The Sixers were led by Joel Embiid’s 12 points.
