Utah Duo Brynna Maxwell, Kemery Martin Earn All-Pac-12 Honors

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah women’s basketball backcourt duo Brynna Maxwell and Kemery Martin earned All-Pac-12 Conference honors on Monday.
The Utah women’s hoops duo Brynna Maxwell and Kemery Martin earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. It’s the second straight honorable mention for Maxwell and the first for Martin.
Both are sophomores with bright futures at Utah. Maxwell is from Washington and Martin prepped at Corner Canyon high school in Draper, Utah.
The Gig Harbor, Washington native ranked in the top 12 in the conference in scoring (12.7), 41 three-pointers made and free throw percentage and 92 percent. She scored 20 points or more four times this season, including a career-high 34 points in their win over Oregon State on December 8, 2020. It was the most points scored by a Pac-12 player in women’s basketball this season and was the seventh highest point total in program history for a single game.

Martin started the last 16 games of the regular season for the Utes, reaching double figures in nine of the last 11 games. She had a career-high 25 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the three-point line against Arizona State on January 24, 2020. It was the most made threes by a Utah this season.

The Utes are the No. 10 seed in the Pac-12 women’s basketball tournament. They will battle No. 7 Washington State in the first round on Wednesday, March 3 in Las Vegas. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. MST and will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
