Alabama Linebacker Ale Kaho Transfers To Utah Football

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Alabama linebacker Ale Kaho announced on social media on Thursday that he will leave the Crimson Tide and join Utah football.
Ale Kaho spent three seasons with Alabama, including their national championship season and will now join Utah football. “Brandon” Kaho entered the transfer portal on February 19, 2021 and announced his decision to join the Utes on February 25.
Kaho revealed his new home on Twitter on Thursday night, tweeting “It’s up there and it’s stuck there!! Believe this one personal…”

In three seasons with the Crimson Tide, Kaho played 21 games and racked up 31 tackles, one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery.
Kaho attended Reno High School where he was a four-star prospect in the 2018 class. He was the No. 7 inside linebacker in the country and the No. 4 prospect in the state of Nevada. Kaho received offers from Alabama, Washington, BYU, Hawai’i, Notre Dame, Oregon, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, USC, Utah and Vanderbilt.
The Utes have received many players from the transfer portal this off-season, joining quarterbacks Charlie Brewer and Ja’ Quinden Jackson, who came to Utah from Baylor and Texas respectively. Also, they picked up a pair of running backs in the portal with T.J. Pledger and Chris Curry from Oklahoma and LSU respectively.
Kaho joins a loaded linebacker room with veterans Devin Lloyd and Nephi Sewell being the returning starters. They also signed three inside linebackers in the 2021 class, including four-star prospects Ethan Calvert and Mason Tufaga, along with three-star recruit Trey Reynolds.
