Mike Conley Leads Utah Jazz With Quick Start Against Lakers
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Mike Conley led Utah to a quick start during the first quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Jazz hosted the Lakers at Vivint Arena on Wednesday, February 24.
Conley scored a quick eight points during the opening 3:20 of game time.
The veteran’s start helped the Jazz to a 10-6 advantage during the first few minutes.
Conley’s eight points came on 3-3 shooting, including 2-2 from beyond the arc. He also recorded one rebound, two assists, and a steal during his first eight minutes on the court.
At the end of the first quarter, the Jazz owned a 24-23 lead.
During the first 12 minutes, Utah shot 42.9 percent and 50.0 percent from three.
Los Angeles shot 50.0 percent overall but only 14.3 percent from distance.
LeBron James led the Lakers with six points.
