BYU Standout Shaylee Gonzales Earns WCC Women’s Player Of The Week

PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s basketball star Shaylee Gonzales has been named West Coast Conference Player of the Week.
The weekly honor is the third time Gonzales has been recognized as WCC Player of the Week in her BYU career.
A sophomore out of Gilbert, Arizona, Gonzales led BYU to a pair of victories over No. 16 Gonzaga and defending WCC Tournament Champion Portland this past week.

Gonzales averaged 21 points, five assists, two steals, and two rebounds in the two wins for BYU.
She shot 60.7 percent from the field, including a three-point buzzer-beater at the end of the third quarter in the win over No. 16 Gonzaga.
